"Cannoli's are the Italians People's Twinkie"    Force feeding, Buffaloes, and publicity, are all fodder for discussion as a red nosed empowered clown tackles the issue of basic desires. 

"Love makes me Sarcastic"  A sobering, twisted trip into the nature of relationships in the 21st century.

"Einstein's Introduction to Performance Art"  A hilarious, illuminating, and scientific extrapolation on the feeling and phenomenon of Art.

"Shameless"  An evening length work about healing from trauma and abuse

"A Night of Music with Rythea Lee"  Original music that is beautiful, dynamic, and comedic – with topical anecdotes interspersed.

Theatre for Consciousness: Performance Art Practices for All People 

The Zany Angels Dance Theater Company lead participants through a supportive journey, in which we use our voices, tell our stories, find the humor in who we are, go deep, and get Zany.  This is a time to mine the depths of your personal mythology to bust through logical thinking into beautiful, unrestrained art making. We will offer managable, bite-sized, structures in theatre, creative writing, and movement that allow creativity to unfold step by step.  ANYONE CAN DO IT!  Then we share our discoveries in a safe, supportive, and grounded environment held and cultivated by the facilitators. Theatre For Consciousness is a transformational, heart-based experience that frees the mind and ignites the creative spirit.

Zany Performance Art Workshop for Experienced Artists

This workshop shares the foundational base of Theatre for Consciousness and takes the work deeper and more specific into the making of performance work.  Autobiographical storytelling, character development, creative writing into monologue, clowning, and spontaneous performance are all part of it.  As a dance theater company, we have developed an in-depth approach into heart-based, embodied performance. We have witnessed people from MANY WALKS OF LIFE find  playful and meaningful outlets to tell their truths, share their questions and passions, through movement, sound, writing, and performing.
